meditative drawing

instructed by molly nelko

Get ready to slow down, focus, and create something mesmerizing. In this two-hour class, we'll explore the intersection of mathematical art and meditative drawing.

Tessellations — repeating geometric patterns that fit together seamlessly with no gaps or overlaps — were made famous by M.C. Escher, whose mind-bending designs continue to inspire artists and mathematicians alike. You'll learn foundational principles of this technique and use high quality materials to create a piece you'll be proud to display.

No artistic experience necessary, just a willingness to be present and patient so the patterns can flow.
